SUP LESSONS ↓
Join the FIRST Paddle Board Club in our region. We cater for all levels, whether you’re a beginner or if you’re already a SUP board user we provide you with an opportunity to meet with others, enjoy a session and add in a workout.
Our experienced fitness instructor (and SUP board rider) will be your guide and mentor for these days. This group will meet up to four times a week and your membership fee allows you access to these sessions. We also run private one on one lessons for those wanting to ‘give SUP a try’ or to improve their skills.
We want to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to St George Foundation. They generously sponsored our equipment replacement project, allowing One Surf School to continue for the next three years.
SURF LESSONS ↓
One Surf School Surf Lessons are taking a vacation for the 2017 Season. Paddle Board Club and lessons are in full swing – why not give it a go.
One Surf School is an affordable surf school, working with our local schools & council to meets the needs of our young people in the northern suburbs! Programs operate at different local beach breaks and will consist of:
1. COACHING – Covering all levels of surf development, from beginners all the way through to competitive level surfing, qualified coaches will mentor the youth through these levels. The structure and operation of the surf school will comply with industry standards and will be comparable in quality to any of the local surf schools, but will remain within affordable reach of any student wanting to learn to surf. 2. SURF TRIPS AND SURF CAMPS – A key part of the coaching process includes regular day trips and quarterly surf camps to regional surf breaks, giving students opportunities for personal growth and development and helping to build stronger inter-personal relationships with coaches and mentors. 3. MENTORING – The various aspects of the surf school and coaching, offer the opportunity for the youth to form key relationships with adults, who can provide guidance, encouragement, support and care as these young people develop into maturity. We believe in the benefit of youth connecting naturally with people who have a passion and desire to positively influence and benefit the community they live in. 4. STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS – The idea for the surf school, coaching and youth mentoring service originated from discussions with the local schools, chaplains, residents associations, church groups, City Council and other community groups. Partnering with the local schools is a key requirement to ensuring that as many youth are given the opportunity to not only learn a skill, but to be willing to be mentored towards being valued members of our community.
