Friend in Need
Showing our Community Love by Giving
At i60 we believe in looking after the community around us. We enjoy giving food hampers to the families in need in our area. If you are someone who needs a little extra help to make ends meet, please feel free to use this service to help you through difficult times. And if you’re someone who has enough and would like to give, we would welcome donations or some help.
Friend in Need
FRIEND IN NEED is i60’s weekly food relief program. We run this service locally in Butler and Yanchep weekly. We are currently serving about 60 families a week with hampers and can provide food assistance for up to 3 months. We are available to the local police as a referral point for community members in need.
Our supplies come through thanks to generous donations from Coles SecondBite program, Sister’s IGA in Joondalup, Foodbank, Peter’s Poultry and other generous local businesses and community members. The hampers consist of both perishable staples as well as fresh bread, fruit & vegetables (when available), and are valued at $60 – $70 per hamper. We have met the needs of many families who at times face financial pressure but we always try to serve families by linking them to the local financial counseling services & employment services in the area wherever possible. If you would like to get involved in this program or know people who may be in need…feel free to call our office on 9562 3002 for more information or just come down and see us on the night!
